'Flock' by Nicole Scott

When you look to the skies of Aberystwyth I can guarantee you will see a beautiful murmuration of Starlings filling the skies above you, creating wonderful patterns and dancing with each other.

I have created ‘Flock’ as a way for me to connect with the town that I have grown to love over the past 4 years. ‘Flock’ is my way of giving back to the community of Aberystwyth. I hope to spark beautiful memories and interest from the residents of Aberystwyth and its visitors.

My work consists of my own flock of starlings using beautiful, delicate white paper that compliments the beauty of the birds. I have decided to pin the birds just above the floor to create a presence and allow the audience to feel as though they are walking amongst the birds.
